Intensive School Spotlighting

Mon, 14 Apr 2025
17:00 - 20:00

The UNE Zoology Society is excited to announce our upcoming spotlighting event for the 2025 trimester 1 intensive school period.

On Monday 14th April, we are holding our first Intensive School Spotlighting event of the year with Dr Eric Nordberg!

Meet us from 5pm at the Natural History Museum for some pizza before we set off together to Dumaresq Dam at 5:45pm. You have an option to drive your car from the musuem to the dam or car pooling as well.

There’s no need for fancy equipment, we will supply head torches, but there is a limited number of these so if you have your own, please bring it along! It'll be chilly so dress warmly and wear good, comfy shoes.

Some fauna we are likely to see include:

  • Koalas
  • Kangaroos
  • Variety of birds
  • Microbats
  • Native Frogs
  • Variety of inverts

We are aware that it is the intensive period and will endeavour to make sure you are not back too late.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Warm regards,

Amy Thomas

Secretary of the Zoology Society
